UI Design Masterclass

So you know what looks good — but do you know why?

Most designers can spot a bad interface. Far fewer can explain exactly what broke and how to fix it systematically. This course is about that gap.

UI design process with wireframes and component layouts on screen

What you actually practise here

Each module pairs a concept with a hands-on task — not hypotheticals, but real interface problems with real constraints.

Visual hierarchy and grid systems
Accessibility and contrast auditing
Component design and reuse logic
Prototype testing and iteration

How the course is structured

Eight modules, each self-contained but sequenced deliberately. You can work through them in order or return to specific topics as your projects demand.

The course runs from foundational spatial reasoning through to advanced interaction patterns. Early modules focus on the decisions that affect every screen — spacing, type scale, colour relationships. Later modules address flow, feedback, and the kinds of edge cases that separate polished interfaces from functional ones.

Assignments are based on real briefs from sectors including fintech, health tools, and productivity software. Feedback comes through structured peer review using a rubric, not just open comments.

Module 01

Spatial reasoning for screens

Why proximity, alignment and whitespace carry more weight than colour in most interfaces.

3h 20min
Module 02

Type systems in product design

Building a scale that holds together across breakpoints, not just on a single artboard.

2h 45min
Module 03

Colour decisions under constraints

Working with limited palettes, dark modes, and WCAG AA requirements without losing visual character.

3h 10min
Module 04

Component logic and variants

When to build a component, how to name its states, and how to stop your design system from eating itself.

4h 00min
Module 05

Interaction patterns and feedback

Loading states, error handling, empty states — the parts of UI most designers leave until it's too late.

3h 30min
Module 06–08

Applied projects and critique

Three full briefs with structured peer review. You design, submit, receive feedback, and revise — once.
